| Daelim Industrial, a Korean engineering and construction giant, announced yesterday that it has won a $1.7 billion refinery plant project in the western region of Saudi Arabia from the state-owned Saudi Aramco. It ranks as the largest deal won by a Korean constructor so far this year. The Yanbu refinery unit, to be located in the Yanbu Industrial City, will process up to 400,000 barrels daily. Officials expect it will be ready for operation by 2014. |
