List of pro-North Koreans
November 27, 2009
A member of the audience demands at a media conference yesterday that the late former Presidents Kim Dae-jung and Roh Moo-hyun be included in a planned list of 100 pro-North Korea activists. The conference was organized by a Seoul-based conservative group that will publish the list next year. The civic group said it will release the first list in March of 100 key pro-Pyongyang activists who played a major role in Korea¡¯s political, religious and academic communities and publish the final edition in late 2010. Incumbent lawmakers, professors and judges will be included in the initial list, but not the two former presidents, the group said.

The nation¡¯s progressives also criticized the plan, calling it a retaliation for their earlier publication of the list of collaborators with Korea¡¯s former Japanese colonial government, which largely included the conservative elites. [NEWSIS]
