Samsung Eng. wins UAE plant contract

Samsung Engineering Co., Korea’s largest plant builder, said yesterday that it has won a $2.73 billion order to build an oil refining plant in the northern part of the United Arab Emirates. Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Korea’s fourth-largest builder, also said yesterday that it clinched a $1.17 billion deal to build oil storage tanks in the same place. Yonhap
