By Jung Kyung-min | JoongAng Media Network agreed yesterday with The New York Times management to boost mutual cooperation. The meeting took place at the U.S. newspaper¡¯s headquarters in New York. JMnet Chairman Hong Seok-hyun and Hong Jeong-do, chief strategic officer of the media group, introduced the Korean media group¡¯s ongoing preparation to advance into broadcasting in a meeting with the New York Times Chairman Arthur Sulzberger Jr. and Michael Golden, its vice chairman. Sulzberger said he is satisfied with the past nine years of ties with JMnet, which has been distributing the the International Herald Tribune, global edition of The New York Times, along with the JoongAng Daily.
